Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion are lay people who administer Holy Communion to the faithful during the Liturgy. Any adult who has receive the Sacrament of Confirmation and is at least 18 years old is eligible to become a Eucharistic Minister. The role of the Eucharistic Minister is to distribute the body and blood of Christ at Sunday liturgies and also to bring communion to the home-bound. After attending training they will be included in the schedule to distribute communion at Sunday liturgies.
Anyyone wishing to become a Eucharistic Minister or anyonewho wishes to continue as a Eucharistic Minister must complete the Protecting God’s Children program. If they haven’t completed it before or need it renewed, they must begin by also filling out the form attached below.
