The Synod on Synodality Session One will take place in Rome during the month of October, but our Holy Father Pope Francis has asked us all to pray for the intercession of the Holy Spirit during the synodal session. As a result, our Archdiocese will hold nights of prayer and teachings of themes every Wednesday from 7:00pm to 8:30pm virtually via Zoom. You can find more information in the announcement below.
On Oct. 1, Cardinal Tobin and other bishops participating in the XVI General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops visited the Fraterna Domus retreat center to hear meditations from Fr. Timothy Radcliffe, Dominican Friar and former Master of the Order of Preachers. Now, Cardinal Tobin invites the faithful of the Archdiocese of Newark to watch/read these rich reflections.
